The Comox Valley Sports & Social Club offers adults a variety of recreational sports leagues, tournaments and social events that get people out of the house and having fun.
After starting with just 10 teams in 2008, we now field over 400 teams a year across 11 sports and a variety of playing levels. We give the weekend warriors, weekday workers and college students a chance to play a wide range of great sports. The local chapter of KidSport and the Comox Valley’s Food Bank have been the major recipients of fundraising and awareness by the CVSSC. However, we’ve also contributed to many other worthwhile charities, such as Kids Should Play, Movember for Prostate Cancer Research, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, YANA, B.C. Children’s Hospital, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Wounded Warriors Project and more.
Not everyone gets the opportunity to play sports when they’re kids, which is why the CVSSC wants to help raise funds for the Comox Valley chapter of KidSport. The community-based charity is run through Sport B.C. and eliminates the financial barriers to sport participation for kids ages 6-to-18.
No kid should be left on the sidelines and we think KidSport does great work. You can read more about them or contact us if you’d like to donate or get involved.
